Reason to Celebrate

This week at the market join us for lots of local produce, meat, baking and more.

We’re excited to be a year round farmers’ market and offer local products throughout the seasons. This week keep an eye out for fingerling potatoes, squash, greens, eggs and more.

Thames River Melons will be back this week with squash, melons and their amazing jams and tomato sauce.

Hot off the Grill

Dan and Glenda are grilling up all beef organic sliders topped with Smith Cheese’s Red Storm Cheddar. Come by and get one this Saturday , sliders are $3 each or two for $5.

Annual Pumpkin Patch

Meet us at the Pumpkin Patch for lots of fun! Our traditional, fun, festive Pumpkin Patch event will be on Saturday, October 20th from 10am-1pm. Lots of fun for the kids including crafts, bouncy castle, face painting, entertainment, seasonal treats and more. Kids- don’t forget to dress up in your Halloween costumes to get a free treat bag. We will also be hosting free pumpkin carving in conjunction with Chocosol. Pick a pumpkin from our patch and carve it with chocosol! You’ll give chocosol the seeds to add to their sustainable chocolate bars and go home with a pumpkin and some chocolate.

Heritage Grains Weekend

Join regional farmers and chefs who highlight grains in their products as part of the weekly Farmers Market. We will have some regular vendors as well as some special vendors who will be showcasing regional grains at this one time the only event that will be part of the weekly farmers market at Covent Market. Unique products will be offered for sale; come to see, taste and talk to these pioneers. This event is free to attend and is on Saturday October 20th during farmers’ market hours.

Also, we will have a free cooking class/demonstration in the market kitchen with samples from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM. Seth Wiggins from La Houlette De Vie will be hosting an informative sourdough workshop. Come prepared with questions for Seth and he’ll be happy to discuss the process of sourdough with you!
