Perfect Market Weather

It has been that perfect orange glowy September weather and we are loving every minute of it, especially on outdoor market days! Orchard Hill Farms has started to bring in their locally grown ginger and turmeric, Thames River Melons has the first of the pie pumpkins available and our cooking classes are taking on fall flavours. Join us this week once again for a great selection of goods.

Mark it in Your Calendars!

Heritage Grain Weekend is just one week away. Taking place in a variety of locations around town on September 28th Covent Garden is honoured to be a part of it. Growing Chefs has arranged a number of activities for kids, a great local food roast and invited chefs in to share and sample locally grown grains.

Shelley, co-owner of Against the Grain located in Eastern Ontario will be in town for the special weekend as well. She grows a wide variety of grains and will have them for one week only next Saturday. This is an opportunity to support local in your seasonal baking, so please make sure to join us at the outdoor farmers market September 28th 8-1.
