Do you remember Christie, of Gonzo Chefs? She has been a vendor at our farmers’ market in the past creating delicious home cooked meals and selling them as individual frozen portions. Christie developed quite the following as word got out! She recently had to take a step back from markets and is missed by many, HOWEVER-she will be here this weekend to teach a Cooking Class! The recipes are looking delicious, full of local seasonal ingredients and we are drooling with anticipation.
Many of you were looking for our Farmers’ Market Manager, Maddy Wilson this week. Maddy has moved on to pursue a career in social work! We will all miss her and wish her lots of the success moving forward.
I, Paige Postma have filled her role. You may recognize me from behind the Sungold booth. My partner and I have been at the market for two years with our Market Garden. I have met many of you through cooking classes, Saturday chats and other market fun. I look forward to seeing you all more and meeting many new faces.

Dan and Glenda have been serving up flavourful food for many years. Field Gate Organics Store, where the sliders come from, is now called Marks Fine Meats. While still having all of your favourite Field Gate products, they also have been able to add a much wider selection of certified organic and grass-fed products. This is an exciting transition for the market and is providing us with many more local options. Thank’s Mark! Make sure to come see Dan and Glenda this week as they return with their famous sliders.
