Besan Chilla – Savoury Chickpea Flour Crepes

- Cilantro : ½ bunch Chopped
- Green chilli – 1 (optional)
- Onion- small chopped -¼ cup
- Tomatoes -small chopped – ¼ cup
- Ginger – 1 tsp finely chopped
Pantry & Spices
- Water – ½ cup to 1 cup
- Turmeric-½ Tsp
- Salt as per taste
- Sugar – ½ tsp
- Kashmiri Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Ajwain (Carom seeds) – ¼ tsp
- Chickpea flour – 1 cup
- Preferred oil or ghee

Directions
- In a large bowl add 1 cup chickpea flour, chopped tomatoes, onion, green chilli, carom seeds (ajwain) and cilantro.
- Add sugar, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder and add ½ cup water and mix all together.
- Make smooth mixture, add more water if needed. The mixture is more thicker than sweet crepes but thinner than pancake mixture.
- Heat a skillet or frying pan add 1 tsp oil and add with a ladle the mixture and let it cook for couple of minutes each side.
- Flip and cook other side.
- Serve hot with green chutney or tamarind chutney or ketchup.
