Farmers and Thanksgiving

This weekend more than any other weekend should be a reason to fill your homes with locally grown food. We are celebrating the harvest season and that is all thanks to local farmers working hard all year long for us. Make sure to stop by market this Thursday if you are heading out of town for the weekend to stock up. Helm Baked will have pies for sale, and there will be many great produce vendors as well. The turkey freezer will be full at Chris's Country Cuts. If you are staying in town, Saturday will be a full spread as well. Whatever day you choose to come, or even if you can't come, just make sure to incorporate local farmers into your meal! We would not be here without them, so it's the perfect opportunity to show your appreciation.

Sick of Turkey?

Sick of Turkey? Chef Ankita will be sharing her delicious recipes with us so that we can take them home and try something new next week! It will be good for all of us to have a new recipe in our back pocket for the days to come, when for the time being many families will not want to think about turkey until Christmas!

Not having turkey this weekend, or celebrating a different tradition? Perhaps Ankita’s recipes will be the recipe you have been looking for.

As always, the class takes place upstairs 11-12 in the market kitchen. See you there!

Thursday market, we want to thank those who are getting a jump start on the Thanksgiving weekend shopping with free celebratory pumpkin cake! We will have vegan and gluten free options as well, so join us for an after work sweet treat and shop till you drop! Thursday October 10th 4-7
