Reason to Celebrate

It’s fall at the market! We’re celebrating with our annual family pumpkin patch and heritage grains weekend this Saturday. Join us for free family fun, lots of local shopping, pumpkin painting!

Annual Pumpkin Patch

Meet us at the Pumpkin Patch for lots of fun! Our traditional, fun, festive Pumpkin Patch event will be this Saturday from 10am-1pm. Lots of fun for the kids including crafts, bouncy castle, face painting, entertainment, seasonal treats and more. Kids- don’t forget to dress up in your Halloween costumes to get a free treat bag. We will also be hosting free pumpkin painting in conjunction with Chocosol. Pick a pumpkin from our patch and carve it with chocosol! You’ll give chocosol the seeds to add to their sustainable chocolate bars and go home with a pumpkin and some chocolate. Also bring your own mug for pay what you can sustainable hot chocolate and mochas.

Heritage Grains Weekend

Join regional farmers and chefs who highlight grains in their products as part of the weekly Farmers Market. We will have some regular vendors as well as some special vendors who will be showcasing regional grains at this one time the only event that will be part of the weekly farmers market at Covent Market. Unique products will be offered for sale; come to see, taste and talk to these pioneers. This event is free to attend and is on Saturday October 20th during farmers’ market hours.

Cooking Class

Join us for a free baking workshop from Seth Wiggin in the market kitchen from 11-12. The emphasis of this short baking workshop will be to demonstrate/discuss various techniques/ideas for producing a loaf of bread at home. Some of the topics that will be discussed are: sourdough health, dough development, baking, and final evaluation.

Hot off the Grill

Dan and Glenda are grilling up all beef organic sliders topped with Smith Cheese’s Black Bomber mature cheddar from Wales! Come by and get one this Saturday, sliders are $3 each or two for $5.
