Reason to celebrate

 

It’s fall food fest week at the market ! We’re celebrating the harvest with kid’s activities, apple pie in a cone, live music, free cooking class and a sampling event. Come by the market for lots of local produce, meats, cheese and fall fun.

Apple Meadow Organic: Applemeadow Certified Organic is please to be back at the market for the fall season. Loads of wonderful coloured and white cauliflower (cheddar, romanesco, blue), broccoli and cabbage. Wonderful sweet and crunchy carrots, celery, spinach, and beans. Loads of beets, 3 varieties of potatoes and at least 5 varieties of garlic featuring our wonderful mennonite. Lots of kale (4 varieties) and a limited amount of leeks (come early). Drop by and visit we would love to chat.

Made From Scratch: Dee is away this week, look forward to lots of yummy stuff for Thanksgiving Saturday.  Such as whiskey pecan butter tarts, pumpkin tarts, pumpkin cream cheese loaf, Apple sour cream slices and lots of fabulous squares.

Fall Food Fest

Join us on Saturday September 29th for our annual Fall Food Fest in partnership with Growing Chefs. From 10am-1pm on the market square join us for a celebration of the harvest! This event is family friendly and free of charge.

Here is our schedule of events:

10am: Kids activities on the square (pumpkin tic tac toe, scavenger hunts, fall photo booth, apple tastings and more)

10:30am: Free apple pie in a cone with whipped cream!

11am: Free cooking class with Chef Ryan featuring delicious thanksgiving sides- Click here for the recipes

12pm:  tasting contest with local chefs, sample and vote for which local chef can create the best squash dish!

Hot off the grill

Dan will be grilling up sliders this Saturday. Come by for organic all beef sliders topped with organic cheddar.

Market Music

London musician Rick Mcghie is joining us this Saturday from 10-12 at the market!

London Culture Days

Join us on the market square to check out London Culture Days. This family friendly activity is art meets tech- robots created by kids and controlled by the public! The event runs from 9am-3pm.
