Thank you for coming back; this is our seventeenth installment of Vendor Highlights, where we dive in and explore a different vendor each week, allowing you to learn more about them and discover their story and some hidden gems. Today, we would like you to have a glimpse at the story behind Tea Haus:
In 1998, Steph arrived in Canada, where the quest for quality loose-leaf tea proved to be a challenge. Frustrated by the scarcity of options, she began importing teas from Germany. Recognizing the shared struggle of tea enthusiasts, she transformed her journey into a business venture. In 2000, a small kiosk marked the beginning, and Steph’s dedication led her to secure a coveted spot at the Market.
Amidst the vibrant family atmosphere and the joy of returning customers, Steph found her niche. Tea, she discovered, had a remarkable power to unite people. From childhood tales to shared experiences, the Market became a hub for memories. The Tea Haus, Steph’s venture, now boasts over 250 teas, adapting to seasons and special occasions. Surprisingly, Earl Grey remains a timeless favorite.
Looking ahead to 2024, Steph dreams of further growth, aspiring to strengthen community bonds, one cup of tea at a time.
