VENDOR HIGHLIGHT

Thank you for coming back; this is our eleventh installment of Vendor Highlights, where we dive in and explore a different vendor each week, allowing you to learn more about them and discover their story and some hidden gems. Today, we would like you to have a glimpse at the story behind Love Pastel:

The owners of Love Pastel believed food is nourishment for the body and a comforting embrace for the soul. The taste of home had become a rarity, and they yearned for a place that could bring them a piece of Brazil’s rich culinary heritage. With each bite, they wanted to feel a little less homesick and more connected to the place they held dear in their hearts.

In 2022, they decided to take matters into their own hands. The idea was simple yet profound: create a space where Brazil’s vibrant and authentic flavours thrived, where memories of home could be rekindled through every dish served. Thus, Love Pastel was born, a dream that began taking shape in our beloved Market.

The decision to shop in this bustling hub was not by chance. The Market, they realized, was a place where culinary borders blurred, where one could embark on a food journey worldwide without ever leaving town. Its diversity and inclusivity were values that resonated deeply with Love Pastel’s founders. They admired how the Market brought people together, how it could be a sanctuary for those searching for a taste of their roots.

Love Pastel started as a quaint spot in a cozy market corner where they could begin sharing their cherished Brazilian recipes. But as their love for their craft grew, so did their dreams. They knew they wanted to expand, to share their passion with an even larger audience. The goal of creating something bigger that would genuinely encapsulate the essence of Brazil’s culinary tapestry took root within their hearts.

Fast forward to today, and Love Pastel has blossomed into a thriving establishment within the Market. The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of excitement and gratitude. Their grand opening was nothing short of spectacular, a testament to the love and support they’ve received from the community. With every plate of authentic Brazilian cuisine they serve, they feel the warmth of connection and belonging, a feeling that goes beyond mere food.

Love Pastel is more than just a restaurant; it’s a heartfelt representation of home. Their mission is clear: to bring the Brazilian experience to everyone who walks through their doors. They want each person who visits to feel like a customer and a cherished guest in their Brazilian home. Their dedication to making everyone feel welcome and at ease is evident in every aspect of their establishment, from the decor to the genuine smiles that greet you at the entrance.

So, as you step into Love Pastel in the heart of our beloved Market, know that you’re not just embarking on a food adventure. You’re stepping into a warm embrace, a slice of Brazil that welcomes you with open arms. Take a seat and let Love Pastel remind you that home is not just a place; it’s a feeling, a taste, and a memory that lingers in your heart forever.

Vendor highlights are all about shining a spotlight on the heart and soul of each vendor and learning more about the who, the what and the why around their story. If you’ve enjoyed this journey, join us again next week for another vendor and a new highlight as we continue celebrating the outstanding contributors that make our Market a genuinely magical place.

@scaarlondon and the foster fams will be there with the doggos and puppies from 3pm to 5pm.

This Market For The Fur Babes, weare raising money for Jaylah, who has a sad story AND a bright future. Jaylah is a 5 year old Neo Mastiff who was a former breeding dog, given away when she was “done with,” and the breeder failed to fulfill promises to pay her medical bills for the unsuspecting, well intentioned new dog parent not equipped to pay for these very expensive bills.

She is now in foster care with @scaarlondon and needs cherry eye surgery, spaying, and hip surgery; she is high risk due to her size and age. Her bills for medical bills, including x-rays, amount to $8000, so far. We are raising money for her surgeries through our raffle. Please attend the market and consider buying tickets and/or donating to @scaarlondon

The tickets are 5 for $20 or $5 each. You can buy prior to the event through e-transfer to marketforthefurbabes@gmail.com , donations collected there as well or to @scaarlondon directly (their site makes donating super easy).
