Welcome to a new season! The summer solstice is on June 21st, along with Father's Day and National Indigenous Peoples Day.
There are so many exciting things to look forward to as we approach summertime, from the abundance of beautiful local produce that we're lucky enough to have growing right here in Southern Ontario to the celebratory summer programming we put so much work into planning and organizing. Everyone’s favourite vintage market, hosted by our very own DugOut Vintage, is coming back to Rotary Square on Saturday June 20th from 4-9pm (that’s THIS WEEKEND!). Visit us to shop from 30+ vendors and connect with vintage lovers and collectors alike!

Yesterday was National Eat Your Vegetables Day! 🌱

Our farmers come to the Market every Saturday with truckloads of local goods, showing off the abundance of produce that grows in our region. On top of that selection, our indoor vendors are adding more Canadian goods to their shelves as produce comes into season so you can #shoplocal throughout the week! 🙂‍↕️🛒🥬🥒🫜

Today serves as a great reminder to appreciate what grows right here in Southern Ontario! Here are some fun ways to incorporate more local veg into your diet:

🧄 Challenge yourself to be vegetarian for the day
🍅 Make a point of buying locally grown veggies
🌶️ Teach your kids how to prep and cook a new vegetable

Canada Day Workshop

Get excited! Our Canada Day bracelet making workshop is happening on Sunday, June 28th from 11am-3pm in the kids area upstairs. ⭐️ Free to attend and open to all ages!


Magpie’s Collected Creations is facilitating this educational experience and has kindly supplied real Canadian stones for bracelet making. The orange glow in this photo shows the way Canadian yooperlite/gollum stone reacts to UV light! 🔦 Found around Lake Huron, Superior, Michigan, and Georgian Bay, these authentic stones make gorgeous accessories and serve as a stunning way to honour our country’s beauty. One bracelet available per person: can’t wait to see you there!

OUTDOOR FARMERS MARKET

Stop by the Outdoor Farmers Market every Saturday from 8AM to 1PM.
You’ll be able to find all of your favourite vendors at the market again this year, and welcome some new faces, too! All of our vendors at the Farmers Market grow it, raise it, bake it or make it!

Sampling Sunday

Every Sunday here at the market, we host Sampling Sundays, a chance to try delicious bites from different vendors. Whether it’s your first time tasting or a reminder of how good it really is, it’s the perfect way to explore what’s local and tasty! This Sunday, we’re featuring: beef dumplings and vegetable dumplings from Tanakaya Japanese Restaurant! National Sushi Day is today (June 18th) so it only felt like a perfect chance to honour our very own Japanese restaurant this weekend.
