Wondering what our farmers have been up to? A lot of different things! We had Steve and Linda from Applemeadow pop by the market one last time this past weekend – the weather’s been so great, they had some extra veg!
Ellen from Orchard Hill (Killdeer Food Co.) has been making soups galore! These are often available frozen in containers at the market, or you can order from her online store. The new options each week are amazing, and you just know that they’re all delicious!
Dave and Dominga from Greystead Gardens have been working on holiday décor items, coming soon! Does anyone remember the options they had last year? Because I’ve seen some photos and it’s got me all kinds of excited!
Thames River Melons has wonderful gift basket options for pick-up at the farm. They include a variety of preserves, and you can add on local cheese, meats, and maple syrup!
Speaking of Maple Syrup, Lynch Maple Farms has the cutest little bottles of maple syrup shaped like maple leaves that would be great for gifts, or just to cheer up your table!
Dave from Dave’s Beef & Lamb will be back at the market this weekend! Make sure to pop by and come say hi!
Wilhelmina from Den Besten’s had fresh eggs for sale last week, and she will again this weekend and the coming weeks! They were a hot item and we can’t believe how lucky we are to have them at the Farmers’ Market!
And on top of it all, our farmers are still busy planting, harvesting, and keeping us fed 💪
Wonderful news! Our Rotary Square skating rink will be opening this year! The tentative date is Saturday, December 12, (weather permitting) and skating will be free!
The City of London is asking anyone who visits outdoor skating rinks to follow all precautions set out by the province and the Health Unit, including maintaining six feet distance from others, applying hand sanitizer when you arrive and leave any rink, coughing or sneezing into your sleeve, and staying home if you feel unwell.
The rink will be open:
Get those skates sharpened!
Don’t forget: the Market is now open from Monday through Saturday from 8-6, with the Farmers’ Market now open on Saturdays from 8-1! If you’re looking for a quiet time to shop and be the first one to get your fresh groceries, the 8-9 hour is perfect. We’ll see you then!
This is the list, folks! See who you can find at the Farmers’ Market this Saturday, November 28th! Click on their names to find information on pre-orders and to learn more about their farms and businesses!
Check out their websites for more information about their products and to see what’s in season/currently available!
And, Mark’s Fine Meats will have their sliders available Indoors!
