Island Fest London is back for another unforgettable year—bigger, bolder, and more vibrant than ever! Taking place July 25, 26, and 27 on the Market Square and spilling out onto Talbot Street, this free, three-day celebration of Caribbean culture invites everyone to move to the rhythm, taste the flavour, and experience the soul of the islands. Friday 4pm-12am, Saturday 4pm-12am and Sunday 12pm-8pm.
From its roots as a small cultural gathering, Island Fest has grown into a movement—where community, creativity, and cultural pride come alive. This year’s festival features:
- Two full stages of programming!
- 9 DJs, 1 international performer, 10 regional performers and 12+ local performers including musicians, spoken word artists, and bands
- The return of the crowd-favourite fire breather – Fire 10 Entertainment along with featured performances by International Chutney-Soca Artist – Kavita Ramkissoon, Juno-award winning Reggae Artist – Errol Blackwood ft. Injah Band and Toronto Soca Sensation – Jaxx!
- Over 30 artisan and food vendors, plus our exclusive Island Fest Lager, Caribbean rums, and mixed coolers
- A Community Outreach Zone, and consulates from two Caribbean nations!
Family Highlight:
A cherished part of Island Fest is our Children’s Carnival Workshop, where young festivalgoers can design their very own Carnival headpiece—a nod to the rich traditions of Caribbean Carnival. Children then parade their creations around the square, showcasing creativity, confidence, and cultural pride.
This joyful experience connects today’s youth to the ancestral roots of Carnival, a tradition born from resistance, resilience, and radical joy. In many Caribbean nations, Carnival is more than a celebration—it’s a symbol of freedom, unity, and cultural expression. By creating space for our children to learn and participate, Island Fest proudly carries these values into London’s present-day landscape.
From steel pan to soca, jerk chicken to roti, rum punch to dancehall—Island Fest is not just a weekend festival. It’s an immersive cultural experience with a mission:
To celebrate the deep-seated traditions of the Caribbean while advancing anti-racism, cultural inclusion, and education in our community.
Community & Giving Back:
Island Fest is proudly organized by a not-for-profit team of dedicated volunteers. It’s built on passion, purpose, and grassroots leadership. If you’re interested in sponsoring or exploring community partnership opportunities, please reach out to one of our team members at the event.
You’ll spot them in exclusive branded merchandise designed by Crafted Crown and Salt Leisure Wear—two incredible vendors who have been with us since the very first planning sessions over three years ago.
