IT’S ALL SUN AND GAMES AT THE MARKET!

☀️ This past Saturday's farmers' market was a great start to our outdoor season! The sun was shining, and our vendors were so happy to be back outside enjoying the fresh air. We also had an Easter Bunny make an appearance, courtesy of Pennywiseontario! So many kids were having fun outside on Rotary Square, hunting for eggs and taking photos with the Easter bunny!🐰
🍄 We have lots of exciting vendors at the farmer's market, including one of our newest vendors; Terra Optima Labs INC! Terra Optima Labs INC carries mushrooms, microgreens and natural plant food, and they'll be at our farmers' market every Saturday! They'll have a variety of mushrooms like blue oyster, cream oyster & lions mane, and some microgreens, as well as natural plant foods & soil amendments (worm castings & biochar). Make sure to stop by our outdoor farmers' market and say hello to our new faces! 💕
🎂 We've also had some new chefs join us in the Market Kitchen these past two weekends! Hannah Howey gave us an Easter-inspired cake-decorating class on April 1st, and this past weekend, Nancy Salamanca showed us how to make Hershey's chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing! Two delicious new recipes with two amazing new chefs! And this won't be the last time you see Hannah and Nancy, stay tuned for more classes with these incredible new cooks! 🧁

OUTDOOR LIVE MUSIC

Laika Berdey will be performing on the Rotary Square this Saturday from 8:30am to 10:30am.

Armed with little more than a leaf-green guitar and a loose tongueLaika Berdey is determined to get you singing along to her carefully calibrated blend of emo-rock, pop-punk and indie-folk. Whatever the genre, all of her tunes are infused with a sentimental sensibility and a touch of smart aleck-y humour that laughs at itself one minute and sneers at you the next. Laika has been performing in London her whole life in various guises: a chorister with Amabile, a jazz vibraphonist, a Royal-Conservatory-trained pianist, and a classical flautist. These days you’ll find her strumming and singing her way across Ontario as an Emerging Artist with the Canadian Musicians Cooperative and a roster member of the London Arts Council, or you can catch her from anywhere in one of her weekly online livestreams.
