July Thrills Live Here!

Well, it sure is festival season! - this weekend, we had another amazing festival: the Colombian Gastronomy Festival. The turnout was impressive even with the rain - I guess a fun time won't be overcast by a little rain! The festival offered a delightful array of food vendors, enchanting music, and lively dancing, creating an atmosphere of pure enjoyment.
But that's not all—our excitement doesn't end there! Mark those calendars for the upcoming Island Fest on July 29th & 30th, promising an unforgettable way to end this eventful month.
In addition to these thrilling festivals, we're eagerly looking forward to our multicultural Sunday, scheduled for this coming Sunday. Prepare to be dazzled by the impressive vendor list, offering a diverse range of products and experiences.
Having been an active participant throughout these festivities, I must say that Covent Garden Market consistently knows how to bring in the fun! It's a place bursting with joy, and the warmth and friendliness of our indoor and outdoor vendors are truly unparalleled.
Stay tuned weekly for fun updates, new insights and our weekly vendor highlights!

C'EST CHEESE GRAND OPENING!

🧀🎉 GRAND OPENING of C’est Cheese! 🎉🧀

Exciting news here at the market: a brand new grilled cheese spot! 🥪 (located right across from our beloved better blend smoothie bar). There’s a grilled cheese for everyone, with delightful vegan and vegetarian options, as well as different bread choices, including gluten-free bread🍞 Who doesn’t love a ooey gooey, cheesy goodness? My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

VENDOR HIGHLIGHT

Introducing our first vendor highlight: Happy Wear, a brand that has been a cherished part of the market for an impressive 23 years. Specializing in clothing for young ones aged six months to nine years, Happy Wear offers a delightful range of pants, shirts, dresses, and charming baby gifts. Their collection features an enchanting array of animals, bug prints, butterflies, flowers, fire trucks, ladybugs, and dinosaurs.

One thing that sets Happy Wear apart is its unwavering commitment to quality. Each garment is meticulously designed and lovingly handmade, using vibrant, colourfast, and durable cotton and fleece materials. Parents can rest assured knowing that these clothes are washer and dryer friendly, making them both practical and long-lasting.

Over the years, Happy Wear has built a legacy of delighting customers and fostering a sense of nostalgia. Anna, the visionary behind the brand, takes immense pride in her loyal base of returning customers; she said: “For 23 years, parents would take their children here to get clothes, now the kids are grown and are parents themselves, and they bring their own children to get a piece from us”. Happy Wear goes beyond just being a clothing store; it’s a place where memories are made, cherished, and passed down through generations.

Vendor highlights are all about shining a spotlight on the heart and soul of each vendor, and Happy Wear embodies that spirit perfectly. If you’ve enjoyed learning about this remarkable brand, join us again next week for another vendor and a new highlight as we continue celebrating the outstanding contributors that make our market a genuinely magical place.

CALOMBIAN GASTRONOMY FESTIVAL RECAP

We danced, we sang and we ate amazing food – all in the rain! Rain or shine , it did not matter, the attendees of the festival lived it up and had an absolute blast at the festival. There was a phenomenal turnout, with people coming from all over the city and further to enjoy what all of the great vendors had to offer. I must say, with all the good food & drinks, it was hard to not want to indulge in it all! And that certainly shined through the rain, with attendees waiting in lines EVEN while it was actively raining to get their hands on the delicious foods! Success was an understatement for this festival!
