Makarooni (Persian style Spaghetti)

Ingredients
- 1lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion diced
- 2-3 tbsp. tomatoes paste
- 1 package of spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons of saffron brew
- pita or a medium-sized potato sliced
- 1 tbsp. turmeric
- salt/pepper
- grapeseed oil
- olive oil
- lemon

Directions
- Fry the diced onion in hot oil until golden.
- Add in turmeric and pepper.
- Add in the ground beef and brown.
- Add in the tomato paste mix in and saute for a few minutes.
- Add in the salt, and saffron and take off heat set aside.
- In a large pot bring water to boil, add some salt, and cook pasta until aladante.
- Strain pasta.
- In the stock pot add some oil, and layer in either bread or sliced potatoes (this will be the bottom of pot crisp ‘tah dig’.
- Then layer in pasta and meat sauce until the pot is full.
- Drizzle some olive oil cover and simmer on low to medium heat until it steams and the bottom layer sounds like it is sizzling.
- Turn heat off and serve.
