Maple Fest this Saturday!

🍁MAPLE AT THE MARKET THIS SATURDAY!🍁

From 9am to 1pm, join us upstairs in the Blue Lounge to try out TONS of maple treats, including maple fudge, maple syrup, smoked maple trout and more! 
Fanshawe Pioneer Village will be here to teach us about all things "Maple" in the 19th and early 20th centuries! How did early settlers learn about maple sap, and why were maple trees so important both in the past and today? Check out artifacts and images related to maples and how they’ve been used as a symbol of Canada.
Dotsy and her team will be here with face painting and maple-themed crafts! Colour Me Ink will be here with colouring sheets, perfect for kids!
And don't forget to grab some maple sausages from Chris’ Country’s Cuts!
This past week we've had activities in the upstairs Mezzanine as part of March Break at the Market! On Monday, The Bubble Queen put on a bubble show and even put her audience into a giant bubble! Ricky The Magician wowed us on Tuesday with his signature magic show, even making an audience member float! On Wednesday, we had Dotsy and her team with face painting, crafts and a bouncy castle! There was no shortage of kids laughing in the Market this week!
Today we have the Goggin-Carroll School of Irish Dance showcasing their dancing skills in the upstairs Mezzanine from 12:30 PM - 12:45 PM, just in time for St. Patrick's Day!

GOGGIN CARROLL IRISH DANCE PERFORMANCE

Come by the Market to watch a traditional Irish dance performance!

The Goggin-Carroll School of Irish Dance will be showcasing their dancing skills in the upstairs Mezzanine on Thursday, March 16th, from 12:30-12:45pm!

ST. PATRICK'S DAY CHANGE OF PLANS

We’ve been keeping our eyes on the weather and unfortunately the St. Patrick’s Day Festival on the Market Square has been CANCELLED due the the rain storm and cold weather to follow.

THE LONDON CITY OF MUSIC EXPO GIVEAWAY

The London City of Music Expo will celebrate London’s unique status as the first UNESCO City of Music in Canada, showcasing how music contributes to the local economy, community and culture.

Local talent will be highlighted with live performances from 2:30-9:30pm. Attendees will also have the chance to participate in various workshops and seminars to learn more about what it means to be a UNESCO City of Music.

You won’t want to miss out! The Expo will take place on March 30th, from 2-10pm, at RBC Place London.

KOKEDAMA WORKSHOP

On Sunday, April 23rd, from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m., Of The Earth Co will be hosting a Kokedama workshop in the Market Kitchen.

The class is $50 per person, and you’ll take home your very own Kokedama plant! During the workshop, you’ll learn about the history and origin of Kokedama, how to prepare a plant for wrapping, as well as how to bind and maintain your very own Kokedama-style planter.
