Our story began when At Strathroy’s quaint Muggs Coffeebar and Clayroom, we put a freezer full of perogies.
It was placed there in January 2023, soon after our family launched our business, just seven months after arriving in Canada.
Returning home to the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, Liudmyla ran a cafe for more than ten years.
This cafe was my pride. But the war destroyed it. We lost our business.
After moving to Canada and starting a new life, we decided to continue our business. We value our family traditions and started cooking our favorite dishes, according to the recipes of our grandmother, who taught Liudmyla.
For our family , making perogies – a Ukrainian staple and national dish – is all about muscle memory and tradition.
Cherry perogies are Liudmyla’s favourite, Anatoly’s favourite — Potato, cheddar and bacon — may be the biggest hit. In Canada people really like the cheddar bacon. Every day it’s sold out.
We have heard a lot of wonderful words about our Cabbage rolls, we recommend you try them.
