Naomi will be painting live this Saturday at the Farmers Market from 11am to 1pm.

She began to teach painting as a substitute teacher at the Gordon and Walcott Memorial Methodist School. Naomi deepened her research on ancient paintings of the sixteenth and nineteenth century; in particular, she devoted herself to Caravaggesque and academic painting (David, Ingres, Girodet, Géricault, Gleyre, Bouguereau, etc.)

Naomi was taught by Caribbean renown giants such as: The Late Nobel Laureate Sir Derek Walcott, Sir Dunstan St Omer, Cedric George, Llwelyn Xavier and Maria Grech.

In 1999, she received the Visual Arts Gold medal of honor and the Silver Medal of honor in Creative Arts from the M&C Fine Arts Awards. Naomi immigrated to Canada in the year 2000, where she continued her artistic skills as an entrepreneur. One of her goals in life was to always continue teaching others the techniques of Fine Arts.

Naomi has had several art workshops with local Galleries, Libraries, and Organizations including the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU). In 2020, Naomi created and launched the International Academy Of Visual Arts and later became a member of the London Arts Council.
