What sets this burger apart is the nice crusty yet juicy patty. The key is a nice fatty ground beef mix
and a hot grill. Make sure you find a worthy soft bun, ripe tomato, crisp lettuce and salty cheese (I
vote processed here!) to build the ultimate burger.
- Combine ground beef and Worcestershire sauce in bowl. Form burgers into round cylinders (like a
hockey puck) about 2” thick, meat should hold together without falling apart. Season both sides
with salt and pepper. - Grease your skillet or grill with oil and pre heat for 5 minutes. Then increase the heat until the grill
is smoking, add your beef puck and with a spatula, press down on your burger until it’s about 1/2”
thick. Repeat with each burger. Cook without moving until golden brown, about 1 to 2 minutes.
Using the spatula, scrape up and flip the burger. Continue to cook for 30 seconds until fully
cooked. If using cheese, add here so it can melt with heat. Transfer to your bun and top as desired. - For the burger sauce sauce, combine mayo, relish, mustard, vinegar and spices in a bowl. Cover
and store in fridge until ready to serve.
