Nominate a local Food System Champion

Since 2018, the Middlesex London Food Policy Council (MLFPC) leads a campaign called Food System Champions.

MLFPC’s Food System Champions Awards recognize individuals and groups who are leaders, advocates or change makers in our local food system.

Champions selected are profiled on the MLFPC website and through our social media. And they are eligible to win a gift basket of local food products, some of which are generously donated by ML businesses and/or organizations.

Why? It was revealed in our latest 2022 Community Food Assessment that a lot of great work is happening in ML but not much is known about it. This fits in with the priorities of the MLFPC: to communicate and educate on relevant and timely food issues and activities, to empower our citizens to be involved and to be recognized for this.

Who? Any individual or group involved with food from growing, processing, distributing, educating about, serving food, improving access and/or reducing food waste and more, can be a Food System Champion. Details about previous recipients of this recognition can be found on the MLFPC website and social media!

When?  Nominations open April 16th to May 31st!

How? Nominate a group, an individual, a company or self-nominations also acceptable.
