Tomatoes Are Rolling In!

We are staring to see a lot of new fruit and veg rolling into the Farmers Market each Saturday but this Saturday we have MANY new items making their appearance. Cherries, blueberries, raspberries, fioretto sprouting cauliflower, purple sprouting broccoli, mixed summer squash, new potatoes, and cucumbers can all be found around the market this Saturday 8am to 1pm.

This is the list, folks! See who you can find at the Farmers’ Market this Saturday, July 9th! Click on their names to find information on pre-orders and to learn more about their farms and businesses!

Check out their websites for more information about their products and to see what’s in season/currently available!

THIS SALAD. People say they can’t believe how long it lasts – and there are reasons! At Killdeer Food Co they plant it every one-two weeks all season, harvest first thing in the morning, with sharp knives by hand (there are a lot of handy gadgets out there for their size of operation but they all have an effect on the on the final product and Ellen still thinks by hand is superior), cooled & washed in three batches of water, spun dry and chilled before being bagged. And they mix in a little (shooting for 15%) arugula and spicy greens mix for complexity! Come and get it at the Farmers Market!

First of the fioretto sprouting cauliflower. Sungold Market Garden has started selling sprouting cauliflower in bunches much like sprouting broccoli. Since they don’t use any insect controls, they do find some imperfections in their cauliflower. Bunching allows them to fully inspect each stem for quality, ensuring the end product is free of damage and any hitchhikers. Available now online and at the Farmers Market!

Mulberry Moon Farm has cucumbers making their way to the Rotary Square this Saturday!

Joyce Farm’s will have cherries available at the Farmers Market this Saturday! Come early as they have been selling out fast!

Berrylicious Fruit Farm will be back at the Farmers Market this Saturday for the first time this season and they’ve got fresh blueberries and raspberries ready for you! Find them in front of the Olive R. Twists patio!

Helm Baked sold out by 10am last Saturday so make to get here early Saturday for the best selection of Gluten Free goodies! I hear they will have this Dairy Free Cinnamon Blueberry Loaf available!
