Welcome Back to Live Music with Rick McGhie!

Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful Thursday morning. The weather today is quite warm and will be the same on Saturday so I hope everyone is taking the proper measures to stay sun safe! For me, this means making sure to wear a hat when going outdoors for more than a few minutes, drinking lots of fluids to stay hydrated, and - even though the heat can make you lose your appetite - always ensuring to eat full, balanced meals to keep our bodies nourished and ready for the day! What do you do to protect yourself from the heat and sun?   This Saturday, we have something exciting returning to our Farmers' Market! For the first time in about four months, we will again have live music! Make sure to read below for who will be performing and for some "best practices" to make sure we keep each other safe!

Live Music!

Wow. If you’re like me, having live music back at the market is sure to get you super excited! This Saturday, Rick McGhie will be performing live at the market at 10 a.m.! Before this happens, we want to ask our loyal community to remember a few key things as we enjoy Rick’s wonderful voice to ensure we can have live music again next week, and every week after!

It is very important that we all enjoy Rick’s music *while* we shop, and not gather around him to listen close. This is for a few reasons. One is that this would create a crowd and make it very difficult to social distance. The second is that we need to ensure we keep our musicians safe – they are in a stationary position and cannot move away from you, so please stay safely away from them. This will most likely feel quite strange as we are used to dancing and singing away our Saturday mornings, but this can still be done while shopping! Feel free to skip your way (safely) through the market as you purchase your local goods – you can be sure to find me doing the same!
