Welcome to June!

Happy Thursday! And happy first week of June! June is such an exciting month for fresh, local food as it is when the first of the berries are ripe and ready to be at the market! Can you guess which berry I'm talking about? If you guessed strawberries, you are absolutely correct! This Saturday, courtesy of Joyce Farms, we will have these delicious, red berries at our market for the first time this year, and we could not be more excited! (Friendly Tip: You can pre-order! Click on their name to find more information!) In addition, we will also have a wonderful array of other local goods including a wide variety of fresh produce, baked goods, fresh smoked trout, wines, local bison meat, preserves, chocolate, pizzas and more! Make sure to come to the market this Saturday to meet your farmers and producers and support local!

Reminder of Safety Precautions

The familiar vendors you love are slowly returning to the market and this means our market will be growing and look more like it has in previous years, with the proper safety protocols of course! In light of this, we wanted to remind you of a few things we ask our customers to do to ensure both you and our vendors stay safe and well!

  • We are closely monitoring the number of people in the market square, and we may have to ask you to wait before entering the market. We will have arrows in place to ensure all of our customers are walking in the same direction and we ask that you respect these measures. Thank you for your understanding!
  • Please remember to keep a safe distance between you and other customers and vendors.
  • Please enter the market only at the specified entrance at Talbot Street, and sanitize your hands before entering.
  • If there is a line-up at your favourite vendors’ stalls, please continue to socially distance while waiting. If the line is long, please shop at your other vendors’ booths and come back later. We highly recommend pre-ordering to ensure there is enough for everyone and to minimize line-ups!
  • Service dogs excepted, no dogs are allowed in the Farmers’ Marker area during Farmers’ Market hours.

We thank you for your understanding and for supporting local! We appreciate you!
